Who doesn't love guacamole? Uummm... I don't know anyone, but if you find someone, become friends with them. That way, when you make guacamole, you don't have to share!
Young Living has a really great recipe for guacamole and I will link you to that one for sure, but here, I'm going to tell you what I do -- besides not share, that is...
Four medium to large Avocados
Bunch of Cilantro (roughly chopped)
Clove of Garlic (minced)
One medium Lime
One medium Jalapeño (seeded and minced)
One medium Tomato (seeded and diced small)
Diced Red Onion (about 1/4 cup)
Essential Oil Vitality Lime
Essential Oil Vitality Citrus Fresh
First cut your avocados in half and dice them in the peel. If you've never seen this done, it might be worth the internet search. Basically, it is the easiest way to dice your avocados. Here's how it works: remove the seed and discard. Take your butter knife and, holding half of the avocado in the palm of your hand, run it across the flesh of the avocado in long strokes from tip to tail. Next turn the avocado in your hand and run the knife through to create a checkerboard pattern. Last, grab a spoon and scoop the flesh into your bowl. Viola! Diced avocado!
Add to the bowl all ingredients except salt, lime, and vitality essential oils. Those are for last because they will offer extreme flavor if done in excess. You'll want to take half of the lime and squeeze it into the bowl, add a pinch of salt, and a few drops of lime and citrus vitality essential oils. Mix to your desires -- some like a rough mix with bits of chunky guacamole (that's me!) and others like it super creamy (is that you?) Either way, get it mixed to your liking and give it a taste. That is the only way to really be sure it is up to snuff! Not limey enough? Add more lime -- maybe the other half and a few drops more of lime vitality! Need more salt to tingle your tastebuds? Go for it!
That's it, folks! I like to keep it simple and tasty -- and boy is this tasty!! The citrus fresh vitality adds a little zip of blended citrus like tangerine, lemon, and grapefruit that is out of this world. The hint of spearmint adds a fabulous fresh taste without tasting overpowering. The lime vitality essential oil is out-of-this-world goodness and the perfect addition to plump up the limey taste without all of the added acids from lime pulp. So, so good. So good, in fact, that just writing up this recipe has me salivating and I am off to make some guacamole! Life is just better with essential oils and guacamole. Don't you agree?
