Did you order the Harvest Planner and you're wondering where it is?? Please read our customer update below. This was sent to all customers who preordered, but as we tend to go to junk boxes with our mass email, we figured we'd post here, too!
Hi there! We know you are wondering where on earth your Harvest planner has gotten off to the last few weeks. We expected to be shipping it last week and that simply didn’t happen. Instead of just guess and tell you what we think, we decided to wait a few days to send out an email with a few quick facts and our assurances that you are getting the absolute best planner on the market very soon! A little backstory! In the beginning, Harvest was intended to be a 6X9 like our other books, GROW and DIG, around 250 pages. Throughout the design process the book took on a life of its own and grew in both design and pages – every new addition was one we knew you just couldn’t live without! The book grew from those original dimensions to be 8.5x11 and 390 pages! WOWZA! In the last few months we have been in close collaboration with both our layout designer and the printer, so we could keep costs down. Yes, you pre-purchased at a phenomenal price, but what about those who come later? Those who are due an amazing product at the best price we can manage for the bulk printing. Somewhere along the way, our lines with the printing company were crossed. They had been listing prices for a manuscript style edition like GROW and DIG. Very easy to see why the misunderstanding occurred. Printing Grow; Seeds of Wisdom for Budding Leaders, they assumed it would be the same for this installment in the series: manuscript style. We assumed, based on our descriptions and questions, they knew we were dealing with a gorgeous planner that has been graphically created to be a true work of art – each page not only jam-packed with all of the heavy hitting information you’ve been looking for in a leadership planner, but laid out in the most user friendly design. It simply isn't enough to say this planner is outstanding, and we’re sure you will agree… once you get it. With the misunderstanding, our print costs were exorbitant! Around $70 a book. Obviously, that just wasn’t going to work. Some misunderstandings one can move beyond. Others are just too detrimental. Much of the cost came in the inclusion of our extra three-month bonus calendar. We were creating a yearly calendar, but printing in September seemed to us a long time to wait to use that feature. Our thoughts were simple, just give all the preordered versions a few extra months as a thank you bonus! Turns out those extra months added almost 75 pages of goodness and increased the price quite a bit. In the last few weeks since we’ve discovered this error, we’ve had to find a new printing venue. With careful consideration in layout, a few minor changes, which actually ended up creating a better journal, and a printer who is more versed in spiral bound art print, versus manuscript, we were able to shave off enough in the price to be able to print! We are so very, truly sorry for the delay in all of this. Our best intentions to deliver this journal were victim to this debacle. At this point, we are looking at shipping the planners out the last week of September, just in time for you to use the first month in the journal, October. We’ve decided to keep the addition of the three freebie bonus months, not only because its important to keep to our original intent on this planner, but also because you’ve been so patient and understanding the last couple of months. We are so blessed and humbled by your support. We hope you are just as thrilled as we are with this planner! We will let you know the day your planner ships by emailing a tracking number.
